What is Hypnotherapy?
Do you have a behavior that you want to change or know you should and yet you haven’t been able to change it?
Hypnotherapy can access the power of your subconscious mind to create changes in behavior and motivation on the deepest level.
Hypnotherapy accesses your subconscious mind through a very relaxed state called hypnosis. Hypnosis is also known as the alpha-theta threshold and is related to the frequency and range of brain activity during this state of deep relaxation.
Is it safe?
Hypnotherapy is more akin to guided meditation than the performances you might have seen on T.V. There is no loss of control in hypnosis. If anything, you will be gaining control as your conscious and subconscious goals become aligned. There is no loss of consciousness with hypnosis. In fact, part of what makes hypnotherapy so effective is the increased present moment awareness that develops through hypnosis. Hypnotherapy focuses on bringing up unconscious thoughts, beliefs, and patterns to then be re-examined by the wiser conscious mind that knows what you need to do. New beliefs and patterns can then be integrated into the unconscious mind so that both parts can begin working together towards a common goal.
Is it effective?
Hypnotherapy is found 93% effective over just 6 sessions as compared to traditional Behavioral Therapy’s 72% over 22 sessions.
The Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology published a study finding hypnotherapy 30x more effective for weight loss than exercise and diet alone.
Hypnotherapy has also been found 3x more effective for smoking cessation than nicotine replacement having a 93% success rate over just 3 sessions.
Can I be hypnotized?
Anyone can be hypnotized. It has been found the more intelligent a person is, the easier it is for them to enter the state of hypnosis.
All you need to do is be able to relax and follow some simple instructions.
Some people enter hypnosis more easily their first time than others, and everyone has the ability to improve with practice.
You have probably experienced the state of hypnosis in everyday life. Hypnosis is the daydreaming or meditative state that we sometimes experience during the day and always each night as we are drifting to sleep.
In the deeply relaxed state of hypnosis it becomes easy to access the power of your subconscious.
